I will try TR I think, a question - I am in day 5 of it, however yesterday I did a fur shot (should not have shot the awkward angle I had, but went ahead and missed of course :( Do I still wait up to 7 days or does the ticker go back to day 1 to increase the dose?
Also just wanted to be sure - I read somewhere here that Table 2 of the protocols was SLGS, and Table 3 is TR. Can someone please confirm or deny?

Thank you in advance!

With a furshot, your count starts over. :)

With TR, you increase every 3 days or 6 cycles. SLGS is 7 days. I checked your SS, and I would go ahead and increase because you did have 7 cycles with high blues and yellows.

Instead of "?", put something like FS in the dose column, or PFS or partial fur shot, if that is what you suspect. That makes it easier at a glance to see what has happened. Here is a post on Counting Cycles for TR. I too think you are OK for an increase on TR.

One thing I noticed, the US version of the spreadsheet is not always updating. If you put a comment in the cell, or something other than a number, it won't come through. In that case, it's best to manually edit the US version, which is what most people here look at.

This is where I am confused! You said furshot starts over and then said to increase? Also the Table 3 I was referring to with Martini's #'s says increase every 5-7 days? Please don't get me wrong, I do appreciate the reply (I never get hardly any replies to my posts) but I'm baffled...

Fur shots start the count over, but if you have enough data before the fur shot to say the dose isn't enough, then you can increase. You had 7 cycles on 1.75 units with only yellows or upper blues before the fur shot. By that time the depot was built and telling us what the dose can do. If you had done the fur shot part way through, say cycle 4, then you'd have to start the count over.

lso the Table 3 I was referring to with Martini's #'s says increase every 5-7 days?
Where is the Table 3? The Tight Regulation Sticky Note lays out how and when we do increases.

Thanks too Wendy, how to tell if it's partial or whole? It smells like insulin around her fur,I had no clue at the time what went in - obviously tho with the 16 (290) nothing did :( ( my husband laughs at me on the floor smelling her!)
Apologies to the US people here, I will try to update it better, I don't check it, and maybe I will get more replies? Just confused with all I've read... :banghead:

Wendy - Management of Diabetic Cats with Long Acting Insulin on that page.

I am really confused now, which is correct/better? The Sticky Note or the article on Management of Diabetic Cats IN the Sticky Note? Should they not be the same? I'm lost again here, I do thank you Wendy from the bottom of my heart, you are one person that answers my posts all the time, I truly appreciate your advice and am taking it - perhaps there is someone out there who can shed more light on the real protocol????

This post describing some of the history of the contents of the sticky note may help. People here primarily follow the Sticky Note, which has some minor modifications based on experience here.

Wendy, YOU are awesome! I have to go into work right now, but will totally read what you posted tomorrow. Thank you once more!!! :bighug:
