Last nite was a bit more excitement than I wanted. I will never get used to what she throws at me and when!
After quite a few HC feeds, some Temptations treats, and Corn Syrup we were out of danger thank goodness.
Now she's bouncing once more poor baby, but she definitely did earn a reduction that I pray will stick!

Care to all

You did a great job keeping her safe, I’m glad she came up quickly for you. :bighug: How was she acting with that 37? I know you said previously she was off even a bit above 50.

I hope the reduction sticks too. Come on, Martini, clear the bounce and back to business. :cat:

May I ask why you increased to 3.75u on 4/6? Martini had a 88 on 4/5. I do see some nice greens on 3.5u on different days. She just bounces in between the greens.

Something?? woke me to test for the 37, she was totally out of it asleep. (Not good I know, would rather she was howling for food etc.) She didn't move the entire time either - I had to bring her food etc. My old heart can't take all this excitement! :nailbiting:

I increased as per TR Mandy, 5 days on 3.5 and I wasn't getting good numbers consistently. I do hope I did right? 88 I thought would be for SLGS, not TR?

I pointed out the 88 because it was a nice green number in my opinion. If you go back to 3.5u and still get a bunch of yellows, then maybe you need to introduce slightly higher carb foods so you can give 3.75u on a consistent basis and get Martini to stay in greens longer.

Sincere thank you for your thoughts Mandy! :) Problem is with foods here also, you guys in the US are lucky to have so many varieties, we are limited here. I will take your advice and look for some higher carb foods (but not too high) tomorrow. I hope the decrease lasts but they don't usually for her. Again, thank you for the interesting concept.

I agree with the increase, the greens were high enough that she had a smidge of room for an increase, but more importantly, not nearly enough time in good numbers on that dose. Just my opinion and interpretation of TR.

Thanks Stacy!!! There really are different interpretations of TR IMO - nothing seems to be set in stone, what works for one may or may not work for another. ECID :cat: I do love hearing all the opinions tho! :) The important thing is that we try our best and remain open to interpretations.

It’s pretty straightforward save for the fact that our TR is slightly modified from the original. The spending the majority of time in good numbers bit comes from the Tilly’s page (which is linked in our TR sticky). IMO without applying that key piece of information, for certain cats, you’re swimming upstream trying to stay in good numbers.
