I had to take time thru my tears today to thank each and all on the FDMB. You are an amazing group of people. Although my posts on the board have been few these past couple years, your guidance has helped me tremendously. I am not very good with technology- even posting is a challenge at times. But your patience with my flubs has been unending. So for Marmy and myself, I thank you most sincerely. May your Board continue to flourish in your mission of helping diabetic kitties and those who care for them. I am also wondering if /how I May donate some of Marmalade’s diabetic needles, glucometers, etc to others on the Board who can make use of them.
please advise. And May I ask your prayers for me and my sister Anita who has dementia. She is Marmy’s true owner but I have been the caregiver for both of them for many years. My heart is broken. We have adopted many special need, feral, and homeless kitties over the years and losing them is never easy but Marmy and I formed such a bond of love and trust as I tested her daily, some days many times , and gave her her insulin injections, that she will forever be wrapped in the inner folds of my heart. She was such a special angel with unconditional love and brought great joy to our home. Thank you again for helping me to give her a safe and happy life by guiding me thru the diabetic lessons I needed to learn God bless you all

Toni - I am so sorry to hear it was Marmalade's time to earn her wings. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: 8 years a diabetic is a testament to your love and care for her. My thoughts are with Anita as well. You are a wonderful caregiver. Make sure you take some time for yourself too. I remember how exhausting it can be and how tired I felt when Neko left me.

To donate supplies, we have a forum you can post on Supply Closet - For Sale or Free I'm sure someone will be grateful for them.

So sorry for you loss but I have no doubt that you took amazing care of Marmy. Eight years is a true testament of your love and level of care. I have no doubt you’re taking care of your sister Anita with the same wonderful loving heart.

A diabetic cat is a major caretaker challenge, but dimentia is a whole other level. God bless you for all you’re doing. My prayers for your sister in her journey as well as for you and her in coping with the loss of Marmy.

I’m sure Marmy is dancing a jig at the rainbow bridge right now. Pain free and no more pokes!

My thoughts, love, and prayers.:bighug:
