Marks Marine Pharmacy question

I was wondering those of you who have ordered or order from Marks Marine Pharmacy in Canada, which shipping did you choose? Where are you located and how long did it take for the insulin to get to you? I am going to be placing an order for Lantus Pens and it shows that they use express air mail and there are two options for shipping. 2-3 weeks or 1-2 weeks. I am just wondering if upgrading to the 1-2 expedited shipping is even necessary. I am in Texas so I am not sure how long it will take to get here. I know they package it well in styrofoam box, ice pack ect. but I am concerned about it staying cold for 1-2 weeks on its way here. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
 
ALL insulin is shipped express and it costs $25 for up to $500 worth

It usually takes about 5-7 days from the date they get the script for it to get to you.....even in Texas! (sometimes faster!)

They will send you a tracking number so you can watch as it moves through the postal system
 
I had sent in a script for my boy Buddy earlier than I needed it, when his insulin started getting low, I called them on Friday and asked them to ship on Monday. They shipped at their closing time on Monday and I received it on Thursday. I called to tell them how fast the meds got to me, the person I spoke to said he thought that was one of the shortest shipping times he knew of. Whenever I order from Mark's it takes around 5 days. I live in Indiana.

I placed the order on the website and submitted my payment information. I did request that someone call me before processing the order. It showed the expedited shipping as like $19.95. So are you saying that it wont be the $19.95 and they are actually going to charge me $25 for shipping?

Wow that is fast shipping. I sure hope I get this quick. Booger is on Vetsulin currently and its not working well for him. I am not low on Vetsulin but his Vetsulin usually lasts past 45 days and its coming up on 60 days so I know it wont be working very much longer.

Also, does anyone know what number they call from? I do not answer numbers I do not know so I do not want to miss their call.

No....if you ordered a 5 pack of Lantus pens, it'll be $164.95 + $25 shipping ….when you consider the price in the US can be around $500 for 5 pens it's still a big savings

Some banks may charge a fee but it's not much and Marks has no control over what your bank might charge for "International" transactions.

Their non-800 number is 604-325-9265......I'm not sure if that's the number they'd call from, but the area code should be the same

I believe they also charge $ 5.00 for a ice pack.

The "usual" shipment includes a special insulated envelope along with a medical grade ice pack.....this is fine during the fall and spring when temps are moderate.

During summer months if it's going to be over 80, they'll suggest adding a Styrofoam cooler that I think is $10

Don't know the number but since you would be expecting a call would it be so terrible to answer even if you don't know who it is?
 
I ordered from Marks Marine near the end of August. I emailed in the prescription but did everything else by phone.

Since I live in southwestern Arizona I paid for the upgraded foam box in addition to the usual shipping with cold packs. I paid for the fastest shipping available. They took my order on Friday and shipped it to me Monday afternoon. I received it Friday morning and it was still cool. I had it shipped to my work so it could be signed for there and I could put it in the fridge right away. As others have said, they provide a tracking number and you can see where it is in the process.

They emailed me and talked to me on the phone 2 or 3 times as the order was being placed and I was making payment. They were very helpful and provided excellent service.

I just received my first shipment last week. Great service - love this pharmacy! I ordered it on a Friday and received it on Tuesday (well, a signature is required and I was not home at the time so I actually didn't get it from the post office until Wednesday). I am in Chicago. The temperature gauge had two pink circles filled in (there are 3 total), so I guess that is okay. I would be nervous if shipping took longer than that.

Aren't they great?? I was to the point of having to take China off Lantus because I couldn't afford it anymore. I spent months looking for someplace cheaper and all I came up with was those "website pharmacies" that had the awful reviews. About 3 weeks before I was going to be completely out, Marks popped up in my search engine. I spent about 2 hours on the phone with them making sure they were legitimate and had a friend that lived in Vancouver who also told me they were a real brick and mortar pharmacy..... I've been spreading the word ever since!!

I doubt if they really know how many kitty lives they've saved since then :cat:

Yes they are wonderful! I dont think they know how many they have saved either! I like the fact that if Booger is on 2units consistantly, these 5 pens will last me a year!!! $190 was worth it. Now if I had to pay $110 a month I would be in trouble. I am so thankful for this forum, for you all, and for Marks Marine Pharmacy!!!
