So, I think we are about ready to try taking Mark OTJ.

A few days ago, we lowered his dose to "some" (based on the Syringe & Insulin Info page) because he's been consistently hitting the 70s-80s about 2-4 hours after his shot and I think we've had a couple bounces. I plan on doing to do a curve tomorrow to see how the "some" dose is holding and continuing to get +2 and +3 numbers in the evenings until we go OTJ.

To explain the missing shots and wonky numbers lately: We had construction going on at our house. When we weren't working at home, we were spending a lot of time away from home with visiting family. Mark was pretty stressed and his appetite and bg showed it.

The curve might be informative, good plan. Are you giving him a small snack at +8-9, to see if that brings down the preshot numbers?

He gets fed at 6:30am and again at 6:30pm. We leave the food out for him to graze on until it's gone. If he eats it all and is still hungry in the evening, we will give him a snack but that's usually at +1 or +2 and doesn't happen too often.

We aren't home at +8-9 during the day. At night, that would be 3-4am so he's usually sleeping. If he is up and acting hungry at that time of night, I'll test and feed him. It's been awhile since that's happened, though.
