Marcy and Klinger (ICU)..He's HOME!!!!!

I am not sure how many of you have had contact with Marcy, but she and her cat Klinger are part of our PZI family. Klinger was on Prozinc until early last year and she still visits us frequently and is very supportive of all of PZI kitties and FDMB.

Klinger went in for a Dental yesterday and went into Cardiac Arrest. The vet was able to revive him, but he is in ICU and in critical condition. I will paste part of Marcy's post regarding his condition:

90-100% oxygenation with O2 support - he's in an oxygen cage in ICU.
Blood glucose is in the 400s - gave R to bring him down, will continue to monitor BGs
He's blind
He's not ambulatory - can't stand on his own
He has moderate ketones
Continue to monitor EKG

Marcy and Klinger need our prayers. Also, DCIN has set up a chip in to help with the cost of Klinger's treatment--

Kim, Thank you for posting this.

My heart is breaking for Marcy and her DH Craig. They have been through so much recently.

Before Christmas they adopted a young Cat that they named Radar of course so Klinger would have a little buddy. Then Klinger became ill and ended up at the ER Vet and dx with Pancreatitus (sp?) a week later Radar became ill and went to the same ER Vet but they didn't get a conclusive dx on him and now this.

I have seen what the power of prayer and positive energy generated from this board can do to help our friends and furries, please keep Marcy and Klinger in your hearts, thoughts and prayers.

UPDATE from Marcy...

I just got off the phone with the internist. She was very pleased with his progress considering he did die yesterday. She's running another blood panel to make sure nothing's going wrong with his internal organs and will have those results later this afternoon. We'll be visiting him between 12-2 pm. The very BEST news is that he ATE!!!!!!!!!!!!! This morning he ate maybe 5 tablespoons before they started messing with him and he started growling and fighting them. That makes my heart soar. He's still blind and that can take a few weeks, if ever, to recover from.

Thank you for all the prayers, healing light, and support. Please keep it coming. We're so thankful to each and every one of you.

I was so glad to see a good report this morning. It's a horrible thing to have happen, I don't know that I've ever heard of something like this happening. Continued prayers for all of them.

Thats great news. I have been following the lev thread.
Not out of the woods yet, but eating and fighting back sure seem to be good signs.

Thank you so much for keeping Klinger in your thoughts and prayers. He's home!!! :-D He had a little lunch, checked out the house, and is now taking a nap.
We couldn't have made it through this difficult time without your prayers, healing light, and support. You are all angels!
