Well, I am going to stall and possibly skip this morning altogether. Sammy is doing some interesting things, she was 117 at PMBG time. Then at +7 (3AM) she had dropped on her own (no pm shot) to 99. She has been so close to OTJ, I want to give her a chance to show me what she can do.
I have to get out this morning and get some serious meds for my back, cant take this anymore. That is another reason I don't want to have to worry about her going too low on me.
So glad to hear the Fur Gang is doing well.
I figured out a new (for me) way yesterday to give the smallest drop of insulin possible, and to get the amount consistent. I push the plunger on the syringe as far as possible in, hold that tightly, then insert into the vial. Hold it still for a minute (if there is any significant air in the needle itself, it will rise up in the insulin). Then release the pressure on the plunger. This will cause the rubber on the plunger to flex back to its usual shape, which will suck up a tiny tiny drop of insulin. I practiced and tested this yesterday about 25 times, and got consistent pretty little drops.
