Again I love this forum! you guys are all awesome. no mango is on wet food he's been on wet food since December and he eats as much as he wants. Dry food is what got him to be diabetic and he will never be on it again I wish more people would listen and put their cats on wet food. the only reason he wasn't on wet food before it's because my husband doesn't like the smell but he has been dealing with it too bad so sad it has to be. Mangos T4 is normal. The vet just said to feed him as much as he wants keep him on the food I have him on and check his weight in another month and if he keeps dropping and weight we will get a full blood panel and figure out what's going on. She's always wanted him to be between 13 and 14 lb anyway but I'm used to a fat cat. I'm going to take a picture of him from up above and let everybody look and see what you think he just looks so skinny to me. He was playing with his toys yesterday and jumping in the air and throwing it with his mouth and getting it with his feed and throwing it up in the air and having a good old time I've never seen him this energetic. Are there any suggestions for a wet cat food that can fatten him up a little bit more? Again everybody thank you so much you guys are so awesome and good luck with your kittens they are also very special!

For our kittehs - they all get Fancy Feast Classic, a good food in general. When Leo loses a little weight, I supplement with a little Fancy Feast with Gravy. It has some carbs, but those carbs help him put on a little weight. It's just what I do, not a perfect system.

But not too fat... Just saying is all

Maybe not enough! I give him five, 1.3 oz portions. But I feed him whenever he is hungry and there's times he won't eat

So that's about one Friskies can. If he's hungry and losing weight give him more. My 16 lb cat used to eat 4-4.5 ff cans so that's like 12-14Oz. You are feeding 6.5oz. He may need more food.

There are canned kitten foods out there that have more calories but are still low carb. One is Wellness Core Kitten formula - about 5% carbs and a little higher in calories (about 10-12% on average).

Good advice above. Definitely need to get more calories into your sweet kitteh.

Leo probably eats 3-4 cans of FF a day.

He also did lose another pound since April. He is down to 13 pounds now and he used to be a 19 pound cat. One of my good friends Cat kept losing weight just like mango with all of the same symptoms. the vet did hundreds of dollars of blood work on this cat and couldn't find anything wrong. He used to be a big cat and he was down to nine pounds. They kept saying it was not his thyroid

I had a similar problem with one of my cyvies she was hungry all the time ate a lot drank a lot of water and kept loosing weight , her thyroid results kept coming normal, it took a while ( we started giving her more food more calories, more B vitamins to help her in the mean time ) and a lot of research from my vet but he finally found what was wrong, she has a problem with her adrenal glands so her aldosterone level was off charts high ( is hormonal after all just not thyroid ), she did not showed any other symptoms, it appears this is a very underdiagnosed problem but not so uncommon as they used to think, so let's wait and see how his tests come back and if his thyroid is ok then keep looking
