Hi everyone...

I'm not sure if this is the place to post this or not. I got an e-mail from my sister-in-law last night. One of her friends was feeding a stray kitty that turned out to be pregnant...now there's a stray kitty and 7 little babies! This woman can't afford to care for all of these sweeties and needs some sort of help. So far she has contacted a local animal rights group (Animals in Distress) and the local ASPCA, both of which had no help to offer her at all.

I suggested she try and contact local rescue groups that she could track down throught PetFinder. I'm hoping that maybe one of them will help her out, as long as she does the foster. I also suggested she contact the found of my local rescue group for possible guidance as well, even though Upper Bucks isn't her region. Unfortnately, the overpopulation situation is rampant and I know these groups are bursting at the seams as it is. It's such a shame.

Do you guys have any ideas of who else she could contact for help, or what she should try and do? These guys all need to be vetted and cared for...it's a tough situation. I'd jump in, if I didn't have 6 of my own...

Might try Friends of Feral Felines or Alley Cat Allies and see if they have chapters anywhere close or if they know of anyone in here area that can help. Both groups are TRN groups.

I'm sure your meant "TNR"....Trap, Neuter, Return.

Have you had your coffee yet, this morning?

Yep that is what I meant.....and nope haven't had the coffee yet, or put in the contact lens...lol I guess it showed.

I lived in the Philadelphia area for 36 years, but never in Bucks county. Its been 7 years since i moved to FL, but I know there is a cat rescue in Chester cty somewhere, I just can't quite remember the name. Google might be her best bet for a search, or maybe her local vet might have some suggestions.

Heck of a mess, hey Trix? I am going through the same exact situation.. tis kitten season & ignorant people who do not spay/neuter and drop off furbabies who become feral!

Here's some info I got from friends of mine who live in Trappe, PA (Montgomery Cty), from a list made in 2006:
Here is the content of a Word format document that [wife] put together back in May of 2006.
