Kirsten didn't get numbers every day while I was gone, but I did put in what she got. Last night after eating Maisey was 95. This morning after two feedings 1/2 can FF each 5:30 and 7:00 she was 58 at 7:30. I wouldn't have fed her so close together but she was acting hungry.
What next?
 
We usually say 2 weeks off insulin is officially off the juice! Hooray - you are almost there. I would continue to test, maybe before and after eating. (The number going down after eating is a sign of a working pancreas) for a few more days. Then you can test once a day for a week, then every couple of days - whatever feels right and any time her behavior seems a little off.

More good news, I have been thinking that her weight has improved, and it has - she's gained a pound, now up to 9 lbs.
 
Hey Kathy, by my calendar it is time for a surprise party for Maisey? Don't tell her so we can get ready to party.

WaHOO!! We are more than two weeks out and doing fine on her own. The last week she has been in the 60's & 70's and sometimes that is post food - ok, most of the time it's @ 2 hours after food, sometimes less.
I put a note on the recent remissions list. Think I covered the questions. :RAHCAT :RAHCAT
 
What a wonderful outcome for your hard work with Maisey. If you ever want to pay it forward, tell your story to newbies on Health who are reluctant to hometest. It helps so much for them to hear it from someone who recently went through it.
