magnifier recommendations

Need to get some clip on the glasses magnifiers. Checked out the shop link from here and got awfully confused - it seems that the language of magnifiers is an additional whole new language :lol: Does anyone have any recommendations of some good ones, or conversely if there are any bad ones that should be avoided. Also the strength that is needed. Not sure that it makes any difference but just in case - mum wears multi-focals

Carson Clip and Flip. Come in several levels, clip on to one's glasses. Get the highest magnification, which will be about 3X to 3.5X.

Hi BJM thanks for your advice.

On a search from the shop link the highest I can find for Carson is 2x will those be good enough or do I need to search elsewhere?

How bad are the person's eyes? Mine are pretty bad, so the 3X were best for me.
Note that you can use a stand magnifier in addition to the clip ons.
