Thanks all. The wait is horrible today. Dogs everywhere too. Big loud barking dogs. Kitten was shaking she was so scared. I have not seen the Doctor yet but they took Kitten at 11:30.. I want my cat back!! I can hear cats going nuts.. One is probably Kitten. Getting sick to my stomach now.

Oh, sweetie, I know the wait is just awful. But hang in there. Kitten will be back with you soon, and she'll forget about the vet visit really quickly.

Hang in there Kitten will be home safe with you soon. Sending healing thoughts

Thanks again for the replies. How thoughtful of you all! Kitten's lung tumor has not grown and no other changes noted in chest xray from last month. Doctor said it was puzzling that she is coughing and stopped eating much. I requested a script for Lantus pens. She did not know what I meant and had to look it up to see if such a product really existed. I also showed her a copy of Kitten's SS in my binder, even though there are only a few numbers. I showed her how you all code it and how most SS are filled with numbers. She seemed interested and surprised. I have some new meds to help the cough. This doctor thinks I should not push the ear pricking on Kitten since she has the tumor. Her IM specialist wants a curve. I think somewhere in between is right for Kitten. She was so glad to be home that she even rubbed up on my husband... Twice! The vet also gave me a discount. The hospital pricks directly in the vein. Ouch! Oops.... It is insulin time!! ;-)

Hi Lynn,
Sounds like you both were happy to get out of that place :-)
Just wanted to say, given how you described the clinic, that I wouldn't place too much stock in any BG numbers they got there. I'd have to guess the numbers were pretty stress-related, and artificially high.

How is Kitten doing this am?
Hi... Thanks for asking. She coughed once and has been sleeping yesterday off in her tent I made her. Since I had to remove my bedframe to prevent her from hiding under the bed and breathing in bad air, I made her a little fort. She is eating but managed to pull her scab off her neck abrasion. Her insulin shot went well this morning, I don't think she felt it much. She is such a good and brave girl like all our sugarbabies. :)
