This morning is Lucy's fifth cycle of 1 unit prozinc, upped her dose from 0.8 I wasn't able to test her midcycle yesterday (I was out of town).
Last night at +5 BG 262
Today at +5 up to 453! Tested again in case it was the strip, second test +427
She was stressed though, painters had her locked in porch, and I'd just rescued her. Will test in an hour.
I have a call in to our vet.
I'm worried about her.

That is strange, Joan. It is certainly true that stress raises glucose levels - sometimes over 100 points in the vet's office. There is no chance that she is getting into any kind of high carb food? I just think it is weird that she gets a pretty good reaction to a dose and then she throws these high midcycle numbers.

Yes, they could indicate an inverse curve which would suggest the dose is too high. Let's see what others think and look at your pmps number. If it goes down, it was likely either stress or some contraband.

There isn't any contraband around. Nothing. Such a boring larder. I talked with our vet this afternoon, she wants me to do a curve tomorrow before we adjust anything.
