Hope all in LevLand are doing well. I'm getting stronger, but still having mobility issues from the peripheral neuropathy (chemo side effect). Kitties are so lucky that the methyl-B12 resolves their problems so quickly. Nothing but time seems to available to us human sufferers.

Lucy is a bit of a mystery these days. She'll be 21 this summer, and like human geriatrics she is quite demanding of anything she wants. Although she has taken a couple of short walks in this garden this spring, she spends most of her days sleeping. Some days she doesn't need insulin and other days she's in the 300s. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason, so we are just taking things on a day-to-day basis. A couple of weeks ago, I thought she was ready to make "the" trip, but then she bounced back and is once again her same irrascible self. For an old girl whose been diabetic for 6 years, has hyperthyroidism, and high blood pressure as well as arthritis, I think she's doing pretty well.

Thank you for the update Terri! Was curious as to how you were doing as had not seen you on PZI forum recently. Hope you continue to improve.

You are both amazing!! Lucy is 21?! I don't think I knew that. Sorry to hear she's not playing by the rules. But then we know there aren't many rules at that age, and day-by-day is probably the best approach. She couldn't ask for a better caretaker. I'm sure you're always doing what's best for her.

drinking24 Here's to you both!!

Hi, Terri. Nice to get an update on Lucy AND you. Sorry about the neuropathy. Have you tried antioxidants. Vicky actually recommended one a while back, but I can't remember the name of it. Sending good thoughts your way...

Now for Lucy, truly amazing that she is almost 21! I am sure she got there by NOT following the rules. I hope she continues to have nice days, and rally from the not so nice ones. Maybe the days she doesn't need insulin follow days of poor eating? I know older cats can have days where they eat very little.

(((hugs)) to you and (((pats))) to Lucy.

Hi Terri, it's so nice to hear from you!! I love when you hop in with updates :-D

So your little miss is 21 ay? God bless that girl! As for her playing by the rules, hell, when i'm her age, i don't plan on following the rules either! I am looking forward to my senior years when i can stop worrying what's good for me and do as i please. I have big plans to start drinking more than i already do and maybe even sleep around a bit, LOL!!!

All kidding aside, i'm glad that she is doing so well.

Please don't be a stranger here, i think of you often and am thrilled that you're doing well. I will say a prayer that you feel well soon. -Michele
