IMG_0314.JPG But not in a good way right now...diagnosed with diabetes and started on insulin yesterday. She's 10 and a half and had been losing weight. Although I'm sad she has this illness, I am relieved it is a condition that can be managed. I'm grateful for this forum!

Most of us here test our cat's blood glucose at home using a human meter. We test before each shot and periodically between shots. We record our reading and other info in a spreadsheet. See:

Thank you! I am a seasoned nurse but feel like a total newbie when it comes to feline diabetes. I am sure that Lucy and I (and her sister,Daisy) will benefit from everyone's experience.
