I tested Lucky's Blood sugar this morning. I've been doing it every two days hoping on a slow graduation to wince a week. This morning she was at 102. She has not been over 100 since probably September when she started going into remission. Her normal numbers are anywhere from 71 to 96. Now I know that from 96 to 102 it's considered a small step. But it worries me because she has not been over 100 since September. Not sure if this is normal to once in a while go up in numbers like that? I don't know what she did prior to me taking her blood sugar. There was no food in her bowl when I got up. I checked. However, not sure the last time she at was. I tried visually checking her for any signs of some type of infection. In the palces she's usually got them UTI, ears etc. Though I do put water in her food so she does go a lot because of it. So I don't think it'd be a UTI. But she seems fine otherwise. Maybe I'm worrying over nothing but just wanted to see if this happens or if this means that I need to watch her more closely now. I plan on testing her again tonight to see if it has dropped. And probably will go back to once a day if her numbers do not improve.
Lucky is NOT on insulin just as a refresher, and for those that might not know where she's at now. She went into remission before ever needing insulin. I feed her Fancy Feast Classic flavors (except any seafood flavors as she is allergic to them), and ProPlan Chicken and Liver. She eats 2x a day. Yesterday she has a Fancy Feast Classic Beef Flavor so it's not the proplan.
Trying not to freak out I know 102 is still in good range but that under 100 is much better. It's easy to worry me with the cats. They can look at me the wrong way and I will freak out.
