Hello everyone,
I have a question and that is: has anyone listed the lower(lowest) carb% for dry food here? I have found plenty of info on wet food and that is my primary food for my 2 cats (1 has FD) but while fancy feasts are great for individual servings for each, I need a low carb dry for grazing as I have discovered Shadow, my 10 yr old diabetic, comes down stairs and raids Callie, my 2 yr old healthy cat, food because she is smaller and does not eat as much in a sitting. While I am at work, they are on their own for about 10 hrs. and are hungry when I come home but I need to wait about 45 min to an hour before I can feed them and give Shadow her shot. I give them a couple of treats when I arrive, but I want Shadow to have a chance to eat if she feels the need to and it helps me monitor her levels by her hunger as well as other means. Wet food for grazing concerns me that I might have to throw out the leftovers nightly or find spew when I come home. A low carb dry would solve most of these problems but other than the universal statement to feed your cats only wet food, I cannot find anything like I have seen with the carb breakdown for wet food. Has anyone done such a thing, or will I have to muster through on my own. Any info one way or the other would be a great help.
Thanks.
