He didn't display hypoglycemia, he hit lime green 3 times. Only recorded two of them. I paused 30 minutes and took again. Went from 33-37 and then 40. Smeared some Karo on his nose and when I checked in an hour it was 65. Weird. That was with 1.25u shot this morning. I'm thinking of moving down to 1u.

That karo syrup is temporary, get some high-carb food in him now please. He's definitely earned a reduction, possibly more than .25 units.

Hello You definitely need to reduce -- I saw your thread last night too; you got a 67 at +4 and then no more tests after that (that you posted, anyway). It's very possible that Bear hypoed last night too, but you didn't catch it. Please please please test more often when Bear is in greens, especially since you're fairly new to the sugar dance. Even with no symptoms, 33 is very dangerous. Just want to keep him safe.

I agree definitely reduce the dose to 1 unit.
And it is very important when you get a green number or a number that is lower than the previous one that you test again. Getting a 67 at +4 and not testing again is very risky. Never be complacent with low numbers. Hypos are deadly and can happen quickly in a seemingly normal looking cat.

do you have some high carb food as well as honey?

With Dre if he is low or dropping sooner than he should I feed some medium/high carb and try to ride the "safe" wave.
I always keep the ff savory centers food and I syringe feed to "savory center " where most of the carbs are it doesn't take much of it. He doesn't like the gravy ff anymore he likes his low carb but doesn't fight the syringe.
Works like a charm
