So this is happening and I’m freaking out!!! Yesterday his numbers were low and I had to leave so I gave him food with carbs when I got home and tested him before his shot it was 400’s so I gave him his full dose this morning his pre shot was 60 so I didn’t give him a shot I got nervous so I gave him some regular cat treats now it’s 81 with no insulin . Not sure what’s going on. And this dam Libre is driving me crazy with the Critical low alarms keep going off..

I will look at your spreadsheet and try to see what’s been happening. Libre sensors are not reliable in the lower numbers below 100. They will certainly drive you nuts with low glucose alarms — as many of our members have experienced before. It’s important to have a handheld glucometer to check Libre low numbers. Can you do this?
 
Okay, you mentioned a Libre so I wasn’t sure.

He has earned a reduction down to 2.25 units based on those numbers. Actually those green numbers from yesterday are fabulous numbers and in the normal range for cats of 50-120 (human meter like your ReliOn.) I see you shot 2 units though, and I see today he is bouncing from the lower numbers of yesterday.

Also, you should know that many cats tend to drop into lower numbers at night so it’s important to get at least one nighttime test before you go to bed. This will give you a clue as to how the evening cycle is going to go and alert you to possible low numbers. With few or no nighttime tests, we only have limited data to interpret the daytime numbers— and one cycle does influence another.
 
Also, it's a good time to talk about bouncing in case you are not familiar with how it works.

A bounce is where the cat's body reacts to lower numbers that he is not used to being in anymore... since becoming diabetic. It's a protective mechanism where the cat's central nervous system perceives either a steep drop in blood glucose or simply the cat being in those lower numbers - and releases adrenaline, cortisol, glucagons and growth hormone, all of which create insulin resistance and can keep numbers high for up to six cycles (the bounce). Bounces don't have to last that long, but in some cats they will. Over time, many cats will start to clear the bounces more quickly. When the bounce does clear, the BG numbers will come back down and give us an accurate picture of what a dose is doing for the cat.

You are likely to see high numbers today because of a bounce. You should get a test or two anyway so we can see what’s happening. There’s very limited data to interpret on the spreadsheet at this point, but it looks like he does not bounce for too long. When you start seeing yellow numbers, get ready for the bounce to clear.
 
May I ask what you are feeding him and what kind of a feeding schedule you have? Any other medications or health conditions? How old is he? He was diagnosed last July? Has he been on ProZinc the entire time since diagnosis?

Yes diagnosed in July started half a unit currently at 2 1/2 units. Been on proZinc the whole time. He eats ff pate and young again zero which he’s been eating more of lately. He was on just pate for a few days but that didn’t last. I have no feeding schedule besides the feedings before shots. Other then that we feed when he requests food if that makes sense. He has no other conditions or on any other meds.
