Hello, my boy is 4.1 by pmps and he vomited a lot thus morning he seems ok now but only gets 0.5ml lantus BD should I give a drop of leave it tonight??
Thank you

Is he eating now?
Can you stay up and monitor as long as needed?
Do you have plenty of supplies and HC food if you shoot?

He ate his dinner and he ate lunch. He vomited heaps this morning. I know it's shoot low to keep low and yes I have some hills cd wet can food. I am up for the next 3.5hrs cause it's 7.45pm here but I think his nadir is around 7hrs

I have to go to work so I won't be able to stay with you. You can skip if you don't feel comfortable shooting and don't think you can stay up as late as you need to. If you do shoot, you'll want to get a +1 and a +2 and keep your subject line updated. If you skip, you'll get another chance to shoot a green PS number.

I didn't see any updates in the SS........I would test again to see if BG is rising....feed and then......according to SLGS: Unless your kitty falls below 90 mg/dL (5 mmol/L). If kitty falls below 90 mg/dL (5 mmol/L) decrease the dose by 0.25 unit immediately.

and then test at +1 and 2

I think skipping is best.

By the way the GA is for cats that have passed away. If you have a question, please use the ? icon. Thanks.

I updated SS. I already fed him 4.1 is 72 so its pretty low. I'll just leave it and as he is only on 0.5ml and over here we only have 1 unit syringes.

Colleen -

When you're needing help, can you make sure you specify for which of your cats you're wanting help? We encourage people to follow a specific format for their subject line so we know where to look. You want to set up your subject line as follows:

Today's date......Cat's Name......AMPS-#...+1-#....+4-#, etc.

I'd also encourage you to look over the sticky note on dosing methods and pick an approach. There are differences between Tight Regulation (TR) and Start Low Go Slow (SLGS) that will influence our recommendations. You'll want to note which method you're using in your signature. Pantera's SS says TR. If you're following TR, you can shoot lower numbers if you're comfortable doing so. Ultimately, you'll want to work your way down to shooting any number greater than 50.
