Low carb treat?

For food treats, anything that is pure protein is a good choice. Many cats love the freeze dried treats.

Non-food treats could be petting, ear scritchies, brushing, or something else your cat likes.

Not sure if this will copy from my document correctly but here is something that I copied from this site. I especially like the Catswell and the freeze dried chicken and beef livers. I buy it at Petsmart or Petco in the dog section because it is a bigger bag and not as expensive as the cat bag. Be sure the ingredients is chicken only or beef liver only. If you buy a dog bag, you will need to break it up to little chunks for your kitty.

Cat-Man-Doo bonito flakes - Other brands are available in pet stores. Tip: If your cat loves bonito flakes, buy a large bag of it at an Asian supermarket. Asians use the bonito (tuna) flakes to make soup, particularily Japanese miso soup. A huge bag will only cost a few dollars and will last a long time. Be sure to check the ingredient label on the bag to make sure that only bonito flakes are listed with no other ingredient such as a preservative or salt.

Anything that is 100% meat with nothing else is best. There are many brands you can feed. Check the dog treat aisle for meat treats. Some freeze dried RAW patties are great for treats, just make sure there is no source of grain or sugar. Catnip and cat grass are great, too.

My sugarcat wasn't at all interested in any freeze-dried treats so his reward was a good brushing... until I found the Orijen Original Cat Treats. Wow!!! Now he beats me to the testing table and doesn't move until he gets all three pieces. I get them from Chewy.com and from my pet nutrition center.
