Hi everyone,
My name is Hope and my 12-year-old cat, Smokey, is a rescue. He was diagnosed in late June, and we've been treating him accordingly. I've been trying to find a low-carb dry cat food, and that mysterious percentage seems to be lacking in most product descriptions. I know he shouldn't even have dry cat food, but his foster brother (non diabetic) loves dry food, so I figured I should get low carb for both for those times when Smokey sneaks a few bites.
Any recommendations? I'm spending far too much time trying to identify a dry food that hasn't been discontinued or is hiding its carbohydrate count.
Smokey and I thank you.
--Hope

Tiki Cat is one of the only brands that supply fully 0% sugar wet food, and I'm quite sure that if you require dry food - their Dry food is one of the better options for low carb count. ~2%?.

Thank to everyone with ideas on this important topic. We have one diabetic cat and one who's not diabetic--and they both love dry food. We do, however, try to keep the dry food away from the diabetic cat as much as possible. --Hope

I understand it may be unrealistic, but freeze-dried whole meats (like freeze-dried salmon) might be an option for free-feeding cats between meals.
