Oh boy....
Sooooo last night we opted out of giving insulin cuz his BG was 3.0mmol/L fed him and checked again later and his BG was 4.3 without insulin.
Morning we started out "mini" curve as we were supposed to do our first glucose curve.
His reading today have been as follows
Morning before eating 4.3mmol/L
We did not give his insulin dose.
4 hours after eating BG is 3.9 mmol/L
Gave him a tablespoon of food cuz I was told too
4 hours later his BG is 4.3 mmol/L

I have one more test to do today before his dinner but I'm not sure what is going on with his blood sugar being low..... A couple of you have mentioned remission as well as his dose being too high for the last month.. idk but that's my update!

I would continue as you have, don't shoot if he's under 5.6 (100). It's been how many shots he's skipped now - two? This is where that spreadsheet would come in handy. If a kitty can go 14 days without insulin, that meets the definition for being in remission. We call it a trial - or OTJ (off the juice) trial. The 2.0 Lantus depot may keep his numbers up for a few cycles. If his numbers creep up over 100, then we'll have to talk about restarting insulin, but at a much smaller dose. Paws crossed it doesn't come to that.

Please continue to post on the Feline Health forum until the spreadsheet is set up. The Lantus forum is quite busy and I'm afraid your post would get lost and you wouldn't get help without that spreadsheet.

Here's the link to yesterday's post for anyone who wants to get the background: Im new to testing.. I don't understand BG levels...???????
