Minet's BG levels have been doing really well the last few days, all within normal range, so he hasn't had any insulin for the last six days. However, today's readings were 58 in the AM, and 51, 55, & 56 this PM (We checked three times). Should we be freaking out right now? He's acting fine. He's not showing any signs of hypoglycemia. He's actually pretty alert and looks a little stronger than when he was first diagnosed with FD. He's still not eating a lot, but does eat small amounts throughout the day. He's drinking normal amounts, and seems to be urinating normally.

Those are wonderful numbers! :D With no insulin on board you do not need to worry about him going Hypo. If he continues with numbers this low, needing no insulin for a period of 14 consecutive days, you can declare him in remission and hold an OTJ party! Eight days to go! Great job Kim! Keep up the good work Minet and make your Mama happy! Fingers and paws crossed here!

So, you're both saying I shouldn't worry about the low readings in the 50's?
That's right. If Minet is not getting any insulin at all, her pancreas is doing that without assistance from insulin. You are not giving any oral meds (pills) for diabetes right?

Go Minet! :D

I've been feeling really low today, but it has given me a bit of a lift to read this good news. :)

ETA: When you posted about Minet staying in the 90s without an insulin dose in your previous thread, I was hoping really hard for good news, and this is even better than I'd hoped for (anti-jinx). Long may it continue. :)
