Hi, I was really sad with high mumbers for a the past few cycles. Now I have a 175 at preshot. :mrgreen: can I shoot a full 1.75? I can monitor. How often should I monitor?

Did you shoot? If not, SHOOOOOOT.

I just checked your spreadsheet and there is no insulin dose listed for this morning or this evening, so I can't tell if you shot or not.

Okay, feed him a meal, not a huge meal though, and test again in an hour. We'll be waiting to see how you're doing.

I fed Lovey a little more half a can of fancy feast right before I gave the shot. I gave the shot at about 7:05 or so. About 25 minutes later than usual. I got the reading awhile before that I was waiting for a response.

As soon as she finished eating, I gave the shot.

I'm not sure what you mean by the "+1.25", but that 264 is calling for you to shoot it.

I already shot. I got a 175 and posted on the board. I gave the insulin when I got a response.

I tested 1 hour and 15 minutes after I gave the insulin and I got a 264.

OK, that's dinner showing up on the meter. Maybe get a +3?

I'm sitting on the front screen porch listening to rowdy campers, raccoons "courting" and enjoying the sixties temperature. The Red Sox won a little while ago... Life is good :-D

Took me quite a few pokes to get Lovey's ear to bleed this time. I don't know if number could be inflated a little due to stress?

170 is good. You would expect, in a typical cycle, for the +3 to be right around or just below, the PMPS number. Looking good so far.

I'd probably take a break until +5? Has she (would she normally) eaten since PMPS?

I usually leave food in the feeder when I am at work. Usually she eats at +3 or +4 a few teaspoons. Then she eats again right before next shot.

I didn't feed her anything yet. Is it better not to feed her while I am checking the numbers.

I think it's best to stick with the routine unless the numbers indicate you should feed "off schedule". Right now, all seems well, in my opinion.

I know. 170 is a nice number for Lovey. I was expecting a little lower. Lovey is more active tonight. She is walking around the house, usually she is sleeping.

Sounds like she's feeling good in the lower numbers.
Looks like her bounce is gone. It will be nice if she gives you a nice blue AMPS.
Sometimes after a flat blue or yellow cycle, you could see a more active cycle. That might be her plan for tomorrow. :smile:

I dont think I will be breaking out the HC food tonight. Do you feed a teaspoon or two when numbers get below 50 (80)?

Do you think the nadir was in between 3 and 5 or maybe it will come later? thank you for your help tonight

Should I just check numbers one or two more times this evening?

When you see under 80, it's usually two tsps and test again in 30.
I think nadir is about now, but she may not drop much more. Maybe one test to let you sleep better, but you could probably just give her a snack now and avoid a drop if you need some sleep.
