Hello,
I have updated Louies ss for all to see as of this a.m.
Let us know what you think.
Her user is all4stvoyager.
tytyty in advance... nailbite_smile

Could you add his ss to your signature? Not sure how many people will go back to her posts and click on it. It can be on both your signatures if you both have permission to edit.

Not sure what to advise. The numbers are flat and high. Unfortunately, that can mean both too little or too much insulin. Since she has been on 1.25 for several cycles, I guess increase to 1.50. Any nadir numbers she can get will be helpful. She is definitely testing for ketones, right?

Carl will probably weight in also. Not sure if he will vote for increase.....

It has only been 5 days since going to PZI. I would not go up to 1.50....give that 1.25 a chance....give the PZI a chance.....patience is first on the list when dealing with insulin in cats.

SS is troubling, very little movement.
A few questions...
are we sure her meter and strips are good?
Are we sure there are not fur shots?
Where is she injecting?

I don't see any good cycles on 1u and only one good and one okay cycle on 1.25. Louie can't keep going wirh reds all day long (those high pinks could be low reds with meter variance ).
If we are pretty confident that some other complication is not keeping his numbers high, I don't see any choice but "up".
The 1.5 should be safe, and if she can be there to watch close I might even go with a BAM dose like 2.0 just to see what it does.

Carl

Hi All,
Thank you for your comments and concern. Oh Bell has been doing her best keeping up with all of Louie's info, and I appreciate everyone working with us. I have to agree that his numbers do not make sense at all. last night seems to be to most dramatic of any number changes. To answer questions, I'll try to get them all:

Absolutely no dry/high carb food avail in the house.

I don't think that I've had any fur shots, but can't be sure at this point.

I am shooting to the right and left of his upper hip area, using the tent.

I've used two diff meters and strip types, so I don't think that it is the mechanics.

He is going potty normally.

Um, that's all I can think of right now...I will hopefully be available on the forum for the afternoon.
