Loose Lips - strange sounds heard

Hi All,

So all around Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba there have been reports pouring in these last few days about people hearing strange sounds coming from the sky, they sound like horns, trumpets, etc. When i listened to the radio this morning they were mentioning that these sounds have been heard all across Canada, Mexico, Chile, The Netherlands, etc. There are all sorts of theories out there as to what the sounds are, but nobody has been able to give any scientific explanation. Let me know if the videos work, i'm doing this thru my work computer and youtube is blocked here but i've been watching on my iphone. The first video is a news clip from last night, with sounds from North Battleford, Saskatchewan, the second looks to be like linecutters in the middle of the forest in Conklin, Alberta and the third is from The Pas, Manitoba.

**warning, the third video from The Pas has some less than desirable language, let me know if its too offensive and i'll remove it.

Hmmm, gotta watch the news more closely tonight. I've been on a Monk marathon, thanks to a friend's video library, and ignoring important stuff. :-D
 
Yeah its pretty crazy, this morning on the radio they were playing calls people made to the Saskatoon police complaining about how loud the sounds were and could the police please do something about it. I guess the sounds happened in Saskatoon on Tuesday night, i was over at my parents place visiting Leo that night.....thankfully! I woulda poo'd my pants for sure!
 
Those sounds could be coming from Angels..The seraphim & cherubim which are God's heavenly choir--
I have never heard them, but hey it sure sounds like I would imagine--Definitely STRANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Wonder if it has anything to do with the sun storms recently causing incredibly brilliant northern lights in the northern parts of Scandinavia - was all the talk when I was in Germany last week.
 
This is terrible of me, but I watched the first video, and I was cracking up over the radio DJ whose 40 callers was the biggest response he'd ever had to anything on his show. :lol: :lol: :lol:

It is really interesting/fascinating/disturbing though!
 
It made me think of something that happened a few weeks ago when Mason was still home on break. DH and I were in bed watching tv and Mason was in the living room. It was about 9 or 10. We heard some really strange noises in the backyard. DH texted Mason (because we are lazy and have unlimited texting) and asked if he heard it to. He said he did and that he had looked out back and it was still out. The sounds sounded like they were coming from the sky and lasted for about 15 minutes. It was a weird scraping echoing sound. The animals were all perked up as well, so I know they heard it too. I wonder what is causing it. That is really spooky. Kind of like War of the Worlds sounds.

Yes Ann the theory about the sounds/solar flares/northern lights theory has been going around as well. Of course the theory that's got most people worked up is according to the Mayan calendar 2012 is the end of the world!

Very interesting theory Roni, now that you say that i guess it would be the sound you would imagine angels would make. However, from the sounds of it, most people are scared when they hear it.

This is all anyone can talk about around here lately, at my physio apt yesterday the receptionist was saying that she heard the sounds the other night.
 
Melissa, my sister who lives in Calgary, Alberta was the one who told me about the sounds, she told me to check out youtube and have a listen for myself, she said "it sounds like those horrible noises from that movie war of the worlds" So you aren't the only one who thinks that. When they interviewed the mayor who heard it that's exactly how he described it, was as some sort of scraping sound.

Hahaha and who isn't too lazy nowadays when you have unlimited texting plans!! :lol: :lol:
 
I prefer the thought of angels to the 'War of the Worlds' image :shock:

I LOVE Monk!! I'd marry Tony Shaloub, but he won't return my calls :sad:

My new favorite show is Nadia G's *****in' Kitchen. :-D
She is an absolute HOOT...and the recipes are DELECTABLE!!!!!
 
That would freak me out for real if I heard those sounds!! I'd be sure God was on the warpath!!

I have to admit, when I watched the first youtube clip, the one with the lady news anchor, it just cracked me up to hear her say "about." Sorry, Canada, but y'all have an accent!!!
 
Tracy, that sure is spooky! I watched the first and third one, and the pets were freaked out, too! Is it still happening with the noises. I like Roni's thoughts, too! My computer froze up after the third one, so I'll save the 2nd for later.
 
Holy crap! I hadn't heard about the noises, but this week I did hear that the northern lights would be visible in Massachusetts which I just couldn't believe! I figured it must have something to do with that and it seems like it just might. SO CREEPY!!!!
