Just tested Blackie on our auto feeder to see exactly what she does. I placed a very tiny amount of her wet in one of the compartments, set the dial to the 2 hour mark. Managed to break open the one next to it which didn't have the food in it. All she did was push the lid to the back, and it popped open. I can't leave her alone with it in the bedroom as she'll end up getting them all open and eating her fuds before her feeding times. If anyone else has another idea, I'd be open to suggestions. I want to see some Christmas lights this year, but with her feeding schedule of PS, +1, +2, +3 there's no way.

Boy is she a smart one, lol!! Spot hasn't been able to figure that one out thank goodness! Ali, my civvie can be heard pushing the feeded around when I go to bed in the evening, but she has never managed to get it open.
Maybe a different feeder? I'm not sure which one you have, but I have the two compartment one. There is a five compartment one that turns to an opening I believe. I bet this may work!

Mine is the PetSafe one with the 2 compartments. I purchased 2 of them in order for her to have 3 feedings while we were gone. I should've named her Houdini, or something. I don't think that the 5 compartment would make much difference. Guess I'll have to figure something out... Or perhaps not. Who knows. Thank you, though.

I have the same feeder! Who knows about the 5 compartment one...at least she wouldn't be able to move the lid to open up the compartment, but she may figure out how to get that paw in there to move it around

I use this feeder: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005POODL8/?tag=felinediabetesfdmb-20. It's a bit spendy, but Buster hasn't broken into it yet. It has clips on top that help keep the lid on. Plus, I add a big fat 10lb dumbell to it  It has more compartments than I need, but I just use that to keep the food spread out so it isn't as tempting. I looked on YouTube and saw lots of different feeders and cats that broke into them within minutes. Part raccoon they are! Good luck!
