I need to refill Ricky's prescription for Lantus and the last time I ordered it, I got it from Northwest Pharmacy.com. However, I just checked the price and it has almost doubled since the last time I bought it, last year.   And they ship it from the US.

I checked several of the other online Candian pharmacies and they no longer seem to carry Lantus. Does anyone have any suggestions for pharmacies that carry it? I would like to find some place that may carry it for less than what I can get it in the US. The best price I have found for a US pharmacy is $248 for 5 pens.

Hi Lisa,
It is no longer possible to get insulin online from Canadian pharmacies. There is a new law that prohibits shipping any medication that requires refrigeration. BUMMER!! The Canadian online pharmacies are as upset about this as we are. I'm not sure which side of the border this new law originated on, but I can guess!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. If you live near the border, it might be worth it to take a trip to Canada. But check first to see if the province you visit requires a prescription. I know that B.C. and Ontario do not require prescriptions, but I'm not sure about the others.

With regard to price in US pharmacies, I believe that COSTCO is the cheapest. You don't need to be a member to use the pharmacy.

Best of luck!

p.s. I just noticed that you live in Florida! Oh well, you might take a vacation in Canada this summer.
