I am looking for a normal vet in SD...not a specialist. Thank you!!!

And yes, we have been dumped. Why are vets so afraid of Acromegaly?

Sorry to hear that!!!!! Try looking in the forum for Acromegaly hopefully someone will be able to guide you to one in SD

The vet I found isn't a specialist in terms of field of medicine... though she does see only cats. Are there any cat-only vets in your area that you can call to ask if they have experience with acromegaly?

You could try calling the vet school at UC-Davis and see if they have any grads they would recommend. I'd also check with the members here who have cats that have gone through SRT. I know the vet who was at U of Colorado moved. A vet skilled in SRT will likely know of other vets familiar with treating acro and may know someone in San Diego.

Lisa Pierson, DVM is also in CA. She is knowledgeable about FD and may have a colleague she could refer you to in your area.
