Baxter has pretty severe chronic ear inflammation, ceruminous cystomatosis, etc that we have conceded to just treating in perpetuity with tresaderm drops. I'm not sure whether or not they are messing with his blood sugar levels. First vet told us topical drugs will not pass the blood barrier unless they are specifically engineered to do so, but our current vet expressed the same concern that the drops contain steroids. Anyone have any experience with this? Baxter's ears get horribly inflamed/raw/infected chronically unless we keep him on the drops.
