LONG night-Dosage ??

I haven't slept. Long over night. I have been advised to do a re-set. Gave her 1 unit last night, down from 3. Just did a test, 399. Not sure where to put that on SS. +10 or AMPS? Dose due in 2 hours. Have had a really bad morning. Had to poke about 10 times (not all in one sitting. Kept taking breaks) to get a reading. Just fed her 2nd breakfast. Regular Vet not available today. Vet on duty says to stay at 3 units after looking at SS.

I checked all your previous posts here. I cannot see where someone told you to go back to 1 unit. Sure that wasn’t a FB post somewhere? We aren’t big on “re sets”. That usually just sets the cat back and risks ketones. How would you feel about 2.5 units? I think 3 may be not far off, but the reduced dose will give you a bit of a break.

If you did the test 10 hours after last night’s shot, put it in the +10 cell.

Following up later today. Looks like you skipped tonight? The greens you saw today were the result of the depot from the 3.0 unit dose you had been giving until last night. When you reduce a dose, the depot from the larger dose can influence what happens for the next 4-6 cycles. Skipping tonight (as long as there are no ketones), will help you get rid of that larger depot.
