I just updated his SS chart as to what is going on, will also do some mid range test today. But I feel that I am able to handle it better after some kind words from some of you here. Thanks so much.

I am glad you will be able to get some midcycle numbers today. They will really help you see what is going on and you can be sure he doesn't dip too low.

That 260 is a nice number to see. The mid-cycle numbers will tell you a lot more about how the insulin is working. Just curious, did the vet give you some sort of line in the sand that says "If the number is "X" then shoot 2u, but if it is lower, shoot less? That's the way my vet advised me to dose, so just wondering.

Looking forward to more numbers!
Carl

Hi,
Loki's mid cycle #'s today were 211 at 12Noon, and 398 at 6PM
The guide lines the vet gave me are as follows.
No insulin if below 100
and anything over 300 PLUS give 2 units
at 200 give 1/2 unit.

Hmmmm. Not a clear picture yet. It was a pretty flat cycle, which can, unfortunately, suggest both too little or too much insulin. The more numbers you can get, the better we can help. Good job getting one today!
