Hi everyone, I am back on this site after 10 years. This website helped save my little boy when we were first diagnosed as insulin dependent 10 years ago. We have been doing great and he is the light of my life. Recently, he has been loosing weight and no longer needed his insulin. He had a couple seizures for blood sugar being too low. I haven't given him any insulin for about 2 months per my vets advice. We thought maybe he was magically not diabetic anymore but knew there was something else wrong. He went into complete kidney failure Saturday morning and has been hospitalized for 3 days now. They have been giving him fluid but his Creatinine numbers wont change. His symptoms are that his eyes are glazed over and unresponsive. He is unstable and wobbly. He has trouble standing up. He has not wanted to eat as much. The vet basically they think this is it. He is going to die from the kidney failure. Any one have anything for kidney failure in diabetic cats? Thanks so much.
