Hey all :)

Prop is turning 12 on september 4. th and has been in remission for 6 months.
The last month a little black dot has developed on her nose. I saw it the first time a week or two ago but after looking at pictures from july I can see that it has been growing bigger and bigger over the last month.
The first link show the dot a month ago: http://www.sukkerkatten.dk/45918999?i=45688709
This link show the dot today: http://www.sukkerkatten.dk/45918999?i=45688738

Does anyone have an idea of what it could be and what to do about it? Prop seems fine, playful, eating well, cleaning herselves. Her number have been a little higher the last week, but with 106 as the highest.

Thanks :)

It is really difficult to try to make sense of the photograph because it is so close up. Do you feel anything that feels like a growth? My cats have eaten things which have caused discoloration on their noses. If there is something growing on his nose, you should be able to feel it. If you can't feel anything in the black area that is different from the surrounding area, I would figure the cat is eating something that is causing the discoloration.

Hi

It looks like the skin itself has changed color, and given your cat's coloring and the location, I'd vote for lentigo simplex. It's sometimes called 'orange cat lentigo' (len-tai-go), you should find some info on it if you google. My orange cat's nose has changed throughout the years too -- he had a few dots when I got him as an adult and they've spread together into the state of Florida :)

Hey

Thanks for your answers. There is no growth and the skin just feel like the nose, so I hope it is just a discoloueration as you suggest.

Thanks for the "name", will google rigth away :)
