Maybe I've just been missing them, or maybe this is a giant curveball, or maybe he didn't eat enough (He was hungry at PMPS, and ate a lot of the 1/2 can I gave him). +4 at oh dark thirty (that's 1230am ~O) ) was 91 !?! That's green, right? I didn't even know what color to do on the spreadsheet - this is uncharted territory for us.

Anyhow, I'll check him again now before I go to bed, and I'll leave food out. I finally got to use that green smiley on the subject line  I hope it doesn't jinx us.

***Update - this morning at +9.5 he's back up to 374. Maybe I was dreaming?

Yay for Linus. You can expect some bouncing when they start getting greens but he will eventually get used to seeing them again and the bouncing will stop.

So far today looks a lot like yesterday, AMPS 409 and +5 340. Ketones were negative. How do I know this, you ask? When Linus looked up from the litter box and saw me :o he stood up and peed all over everything. I guess he showed me.

Question . . . what about giving 2.4u in the morning and 2.0u at night? He's seems to show lower numbers at night, but does occasionally throw that red AMPS, so I don't want to reduce at night. Days he seems to be high and flat, and could maybe use a boost there.

I think that might be interesting. I would suggest starting with a smaller variance (2.4 and 2.2 or whatever) You can always increase if you don't see anything, but a difference of .4 between the 2 shots seem like too much to me. Did you check our Henry and Angela? They shoot different amounts am/pm.

Sue -

If you're using the template, it should automatically color code for you. Sometimes when you add rows, you have to copy the conditional formatting or establish it for a large block of cells. Check to make sure your cells are set for "number" as opposed to "text". Of course that means if you put something like 2.2 (units) in, it will turn green. You can avoid that by either changing the cell to a "text" box, OR by doing an apostrophe before the number. That's how I do the +5 or +8 without it trying to do a calculation. '+5 or '+8 . Make sense?

I'm still trying to figure out a bunch of stuff on Google spreadsheets, but I've spent WAY too much time w/ them in Excel... but had never even SEEN the conditional formatting before. It's pretty cool when it's working properly! I went in and mass-changed the colors on mine, as I print out my SS occasionally (on 11x17) and the colors that are so handy to look at on screen are REALLY AWFUL printed (IMHO)! So the 2 shades lighter than hot pink shows up as lavender on mine, but I think most folks figure it out if they're looking! (and there's a LOT of lavender on his SS!)

BTW- Kudos on the green!!!

I have the spreadsheet formatted, but I think I just put too much information in the cells most of the time for it to work. I just decided that was the easiest place to put it so it was in the right place and time. So I usually go up and re-color the box when I'm done. Not usually a big deal, but with a 91 in the middle of the night I was having trouble thinking what color I needed.
