Linus, low preshot, quick drop

We've been playing with dose the last few days, I had increased to 1.4u trying to see a little more movement at preshot. Pierre switched back to 1.2u yesterday after a red preshot. Tonight I shot 1.2u at 269. Linus has dropped to 144 in 2 hours, and that's after eating a half can of food.

I don't know where he was AMPS because Alec did that and he doesn't test, but he was 332 at +9 this morning, so I'm confident he had a reasonable number.

How worried do I need to be tonight? He ate a small can of trout, and I plan to have food out for him all night. I'll be up at 5:00 and will get a +9, and let the boys know what to do later. They need to shoot just before +11, but Pierre will be here to test, so if he's too low, I guess we'll just skip and start again tomorrow night.

You may want a +4 if you can. That should define what he has in mind for nadir. And if he's low you could feed to slow or stop the drop.

Thanks, Carl. I'm up now, I'll get a +3, and then I usually wake up once in the night, so I'll try to test again later.

141 at +3 and 10 minutes. More trout to eat. Looks like he's leveled off a little. Nice number, I just don't see those very often. Now that I think about it, it seems pretty silly to say "OMG, his blood sugar is only twice what it should be!" I guess we have some room to maneuver.

No, they like to show the nice numbers in the middle of the night when you don't have the time to smile and appreciate them:-)
That looks good, Sue. You might sleep thru a green, but just test if you happen to wake up. The food should buffer a steep drop.

Re: Linus, low preshot, quick drop AM UPDATE

No worries about going too low - now at +9 he is 363. WTH? There is nothing out that I know of that he could have nibbled on, and as far as I know he never left the bed last night. I double checked the low numbers at +2, and double checked just now, so I know it wasn't a bad test either time.

I guess I don"t have to worry about that +11 shot time this morning.
