Linus is going in for a dental tomorrow. I haven't been given any pre-op instructions by the clinic, but I'm going with what I know, which is no food after 8pm. Does that still hold true for diabetics? I just gave him a can of trout because I knew he would gobble most of it up.
So, what should tomorrow's dose be on an empty stomach, and assuming he will not be able to eat for most of the day? He has lots of room to go lower, so I'm not too worried about sending him into hypo, but still wondering. I do want him to have the best realistic numbers possible at the vet so she is confident in my ability to handle this and make decisions for him.
He's been in 300's all day, back at IHop. He just dropped to his lowest level of the day at +11, a 303. I think he snacked on some dog food yesterday and last night and that is just clearing his system.
So need input on dose for tomorrow morning, if any. Thanks, guys!
