Same Numbers Different Day . . .

AMPS 365, PMPS 450. Got to spend the day with my husband and we didn't get home for any mid cycle numbers, but he is now on such an early schedule I should get at least a +3 or +4 tonight. I did feed the dogs before we left - but he had food in his dish, too. I'm thinking about getting a "Linus Cam" and putting it on his head so I can see what he's up to all day.

Still thinking about increasing the dose - and still thinking about leaving low carb dry out for him so he doesn't eat high carb dog food. I can't lock him in the house. I am going to try to retrain the dogs to eat when they are fed and not to leave food. It's always been nice to have "nibblers" who don't gobble and fight over their food, but now I need them to eat fast and be done.

Just venting grumpy_cat . As usual, any input appreciated.

I'm thinking "LinusCam" would be a huge hit on YouTube! Life thru the eyes of a kitty...

Linus had a couple of good cycles on this dose back on the 16th and 17th, but not so much since then. I'm agreeing with your "increase" thinking.
Glad you got to spend the day with your husband and get out and away from the FD for a day. :smile:

I saw the mounting cameras at Target on Saturday. You could diffently strap that on Linus head.
Linus could become YouTube famous. Then maybe he could do some commercials & it would help pay for diabete supply's. :-D

I bought him one of those mesh harnesses, maybe we could mount the camera on that.

Have you considered messing one of your doors up in the house by installing a magnetic or electronic doggie door? Then they could get into and out of a closed offed room where you keep their food and Linus could have free range of the rest of the house!
 
+5 is 260, so holding for now. I can't update the spreadsheet because my computer won't restart after a power outage tonight. I'm off to bed, the 530 am shots come early :o

AMPS 398, not 400, but darn close. I did increase to 2.4u, I should be home for a little while to check on him at about +7.

Just curious. Late March/early April, you were getting better numbers - preshots & mid-cycle, on 1.6 and 1.8 units. Wondering why you increased (it was probably there in the notes, but I only looked at numbers.
 
Lu, I was getting better numbers, but not good enough. I was hoping that I could increase slowly and slide the whole curve down at once. I would be happy with mid to high 200s pre-shot and mid 100s at nadir.
+8 is 304. I don't really understand why numbers have gone up instead of down. The only variable is outside time and whatever he's finding to eat.

The dogs are learning to eat when their food is put down, that will be a big difference, I hope.
 
I'm with you on the dogs. Mine always nursed their food... then when friends' dogs came to visit, one snarfed up his, then went for everyone elses! They quickly learned to eat when dinner was served!

This weekend, one of the same dogs was here - the one that eats/shares like my guys do. Her brother, however, is also a snarfer. He got his on the porch while Noodle & the boys got theirs in the kitchen!

As for the numbers, I've truly been surprised at the drop in the preshots. Enough that I'm not seeing red lately. And ranges from 50-100 that I was seeing with 6 units... not much change at 3 or 2. Not sure what to make of it, or to conclude/recommend to others. Just that the reboot turned out to be a good thing for us. And maybe others could have good luck doing it as well. I really don't know. Grayson doesn't seem to follow any of the rule books, so it's hard to say what might or might not work for another kitty.
