I owe my second vet everything, he's saved the lives of both Daniel and Sam, doesn't overcharge, was the first vet here to have digital X-rays and does his own blood work. This guy thinks way outside the box and I trust him completely.
Ten days ago Lewis went in for a nail trim and he had major damage from what looked like cysts. He lost three toes on his front foot. Now he has what looks like neuropathy probably from advanced arthritis. His oncology came back yesterday, inconclusive of course but "quality of life" and "talk this over with Cynthia" came up too many times. This is my problem. This vet knows I prolonged Noah's life by three years using transdermal BUPE so he knows I don't over do it. He thinks a better option is a once a month injection (don't know what yet) that can control Lewis's pain. I find this hard to believe. If it is bone cancer I'm not going to watch Lewis just tolerate the pain. We've had three other cats that were misdiagnosed and suffered stupid useless deaths. Noah never got constipated, never had trouble with the stairs and always knew who and where he was. I've also read more than once that cat's don't feel the same withdrawal symptoms as humans. If you've seen a cat of dog suffer just once it's something you'll never forget. We find out on Monday what his exact plans are.
Does anyone know what this wonder drug might be?
