Levemir

Hi I had 2 diabetic cats chewy and stash,both get lantas twice a day 4 and 2 units..I'm switching to levemir..are the dosages the same? If not what is the conversion? I know lantas works in 2 hours and levemir in 4.please help asap

Without BG values ate various times I can't really answer the question.
I have used both Lantus and Levemir and have switch between them and have really seen that much of a difference at all.

I used Lev, not Lantus, when I had a diabetic cat. I believe their action is very similar. But as you know, ECID (every cat is different). So if these were my cats, I would either start Lev on a day you can test them often during the day or reduce the dose to start, just to be safe.
