Leg Weakness

My cats leg weakness has been getting worse. I have researched Diabetic Neuropathy, and the recommended therapy is Methylcobalamin ( a form of Vit B-12) Is there a certain brand that is superior to another? Where is the best place to purchase? Also, what dose is suggested for a 14 lb cat ?

It doesn't contain any sugars or flavorings, it comes in capsule form, so easy to open and mix in wet food.

5000mcg = 5 mg and recommended daily dosage is 3-5 mg - so if cat doesn't consume it all, not a problem, and ok if other cats eat it, what the body doesn't need the cat will pee out.

Xobaline is a well-tested brand name here. Zobaline is the new cat-specific version of Xobaline, made without fructose or any other sugar-based flavors.

You can also check drug stores and health food stores for other brands - just make sure it does not contain Xylitol (an artificial sweetener) since it can be toxic to cats and dogs.

Most of us give between 3 and 5mg (3000 - 5000 mcg) per day, regardless of body size. Any excess is excreted in the urine, so no worries about overdosing.
