$297 for 5 pens. That's 60 per pen. They cannot run the Lantus Card without an NPI number. They will not sell a single pen.

Has anyone in Washington State or Portland Oregon area had any luck or better pricing on Lantus pens? How do they get aroun. NPI number?

do you have a prescription for it from your veterinarian?

my understanding is the vet may have a NPI number or in some places they use their DEA number although that doesn't seem to be the recommended choice. NPI numbers are free for providers to obtain and more and more vets are getting them is my understanding

one article i found while googling npi

I understand that but apparently the vets don't. No one in my clinic has an NPI number. They don't even know what a NPI number is :(

Pharmacies here will not do the things others have posted to help a patient.

I may have to suck it up and spend $300 unless I can find someone to split a box.

well the good news about a box of 5 pens is they will last you nearly a year or so depending on kitty's dose.
