I bought lantus at a pharmacy which cost me 113.00 is walmart cheaper? just wondering does anyone else out there buy it at walmart?

Were you buying the 10mL vial? It works out to be less costly if you buy a set of 5, 3 Ml Solostar pens (use a regular syringe to withdraw the insulin), although the initial sticker may make you gasp ($225 for the 5 pen set)

I've bought them at Sam's Club. You should be able to go to their pharmacy, even without being a member.

debby where are you? I got a 10 ml vile at Shopper's Drug Mart in Toronto for C$75. 5 vials were a $107 or around there, I think.

Most people here buy the Lantus SoloStar pens for their diabetic cats. It comes in a box of five 3 ml pens which is essentially at least a 5 month supply. The 10 ml bottle lasts maybe a month or so and you're throwing away a barely used bottle every month. Pretty much a waste of money, IMO. Unless you happen to have an imlimited source of income and have no problem spending $110+ every month for a new bottle, use a teeny amount of it, toss the rest away after a month, and repeat?

$113 is pretty average for a 10 ml bottle of Lantus in the US.
