while on the internet , I found a canadian drug store that sells lantus, 10ml btl, 100 units, for 135., what does everyone think or know about the canadian pharmacies? :?:
 
I have always had extremely good luck with Canadian pharmacies for my insulin. In fact just purchased a new 5pk of Levemir cartridges from one for $140 although it just happened to work out this time I had a friend in the Boston area that was making a trip to Canada to get insulin for her own cats so I asked her to pick up some for me as well.

If possible I would go for either pens or cartridges (basically the insides of the pen without the plastic outside) before a vial because while more expensive up front you will end up more useable insulin before it loses its effectiveness) because you open one 3 ml pen at a time which most cats can use for 2-3 months before it weakens per pen so you get approx 10-12 months out of a 5pk as opposed to maybe 6 months out of a 10ml vial.

I buy my Levemir from a Canadian pharmacy. The only problem I've had is the with the post office not following instructions to leave the package at the door therefore it stayed in their warm office overnight. I will order again in December. Just make sure that they deliver to a place where someone is home and can rush it to the fridge.

I am going to have my next shipment delivered to my work address.

I have also purchased Lantus from Canada. If you have a prescription, it is cheaper because it comes from Turkey - but if you don't, then you have to buy the more expensive Canadian-made insulin.

this morning, peteys' blood sugar was low, so I skipped his shot...It was 85. I hope this is the right thing to do ! :?:

Just tested blood sugar again, 7 AM, about 1 hr later = 174, not sure about giving shot, since I did not give after breakfast at 5:45 AM, since his bg was so low ? confused_cat
