Hi. I am thinking about trying the Lantus Solostar pens and was wondering if the container is glass, like the vial, or is the actual insulin is encased in plastic. Thanks.
The pens are plastic.
You use a standard U-100 insulin syringe to withdraw the insulin, not the needles which have to be purchased separately for the pen.
The lantus is a glass vile-like thing with a rubber plunger in one end and a vial-type end on the other. Thar is encased in a plastic pen like enclosure.
