I'm pretty sure my 10mL bottle of Lantus is going bad after 14 weeks. I just called around, and my local Illinois CVS pharmacy will sell the cartridge pens singly for $64.59 each with a prescription. A pack of 5 at Walgreens is over $270. I believe the pens are 3ml each, which should last me about 3 months. Sounds like a pretty good deal.

The absolutely cheapest place I have seen for Lantus is through Canada online. The last 5 pk of pens from there ran just a little over $110, although Musette's insulin comes from DCIN they order hers from Canada. It does take about 14 days to get it shipped out here to Nebraska, but if you want the information let me know and I will see if I can find the website for the Canadian pharmacy that DCIN uses to supply Musette's insulin.

It's like the one and only thing that cheaper here lol. I can't believe the price difference of insulin! Crazy!

And you are also luck enough that you don't have to fight with a vet for the script for the insulin you want Lil, you can just walk in your pharmacy and tell them what you want, those of us here in the US have to convince our vets we aren't crazy to want either Lantus or Levemir for our cats. :-D

True...that shocked me too! I totally didn't know that til I was trying to figure out how to buy syringes.

I picked up my single pen last night, and it was only $25. It did take a little convincing between the pharmacy and vet, but not too much.
