has anyone used this source? I'm wondering if I should replace Lee's lantus, I bought it in March or April. I'm about halfway through it. Its always in the fridge, but I know there's a risk of losing its potency after a few months. I'd love to be able to get a less expensive source than the $250 it is at my local pharmacy.

Thanks!

Re: Mark's Pharmacy in Canada for Lantus?

I got Toby's levemir there I live in Maine and it was $380.00 To $400.00 here.I got it for $190.00 with shipping in Canada. They were good to deal with and it was packaged good. The ice pack had melted but, still stayed cool. I am using it now and it is fine. I am satisfied with my service. Peg and Toby

Yup I live in Canada and pay just $77 for a vial. Can't believe the high prices you pay in the U.S. Ouch.

Got a link for them?

Went onto Marks website and couldn't find insulin. You probably have to call. But that's a high price. I got mind from Shoppers Drug Mart. If you're close to the border would be worth a trip up. Marks is in Vancouver, I'm the other side of the country in Ontario so perhaps ON prices are cheaper than BC.

I think the person who recommended Mark's said you have to call. I don't know if you need an Rx that can transfer or not. I'm in Seattle, about 2.5 hours away from BC. I think if it was <$100 a vial, I could justify the trip!

I drive across the border for strips, makes sense to come here for a visit for Lantus (or Levemir). You can get it over the counter at any pharmacy - just say it's for your cat. It's been a couple years since I bought a Lantus vial here, but it was $67 then at a grocery store pharmacy. A 5 pack of cartridges was $102 last year. Lev is a bit more.

Here's the link to Mark's pharmacy. http://www.rxcanada4less.com/search.php

Definitely the pens. Eact pen is 3 mL, with 100 units per mL. You usually can use the entire pen, if stored in the fridge on a stationary shelf.

A vial is 10 mL with 1,000 units. Unless you have a high dose cat, it is unlikely you'll use the full amount within 6 months.

Thanks, will get the pens. I figured as much, and with my cat at 0.5u 2x daily, I definitely won't get through the insulin.

Got the delivery yesterday 12/19! The ice pack had melted, but it was still pretty chilled, and sitting outside in the shade (we didnt get over 50 yesterday) so all is GOOD!! first dose with the new insulin is this morning, 12/20
