I've been getting differing info: Is a pen IN USE supposed to be refrigerated?

From GoodRx: "In-use Lantus injection pens should be stored at room temperature — do not refrigerate — for up to 28 days."

Yes, for cats we keep them refrigerated and they typically last longer than 28 days, since the doses are so small.

If you are drawing up the insulin with a syringe you can use the insulin until the last drop. I did. The reason why it’s different for humans is because they use the mechanism to give themselves insulin.
