Lantus pen storage- in fridge or room temp?

Hi everyone:

New lantus user here. I'm so confused about what is the correct way to store my Lantus pen. Some places say room temp, others in the fridge. Not sure what I should be doing!

Lots of information on handling and storage of Lantus here. Room temp is for humans who typically go through a pen in less than 28 days. Storage in the fridge extends the life for using with kitties.
